Abstract: The purpose of this research is to identify the students' interest in vocational schools as the dimension of being in a well-being model school. A questionnaire was used to measure students' subjective perceptions. Suitability Vocational interests are assessed using a standardized test known as a modified vocational interest scale from the SDS (Self-directed search). Eleven vocational schools in Indonesia, comprising of 362 students from the manufacturing program contributed in the survey. The computer-based statistical data analysis system was used to examine the raw data collection. The results showed that 49% of the students felt satisfied and enjoyed the learning process they followed at school. Considering the students' interest in the vocational school, which conforms to the personality typology, 41% of the students were confirmed positively. The two statistic figures suggest that when a student has strong motivation and has a high interest in the vocational school, they feel positive about the education process. Besides student also enjoy and follow the system accordingly. The development of well-being in school can then be shaped. This paper provides the implementation of a well-being model to cater to the education process, considering the conformance of students' interest in their selected course programs in vocational schools.

Abstract: This paper focuses on school production unit/consultancy services with special reference to its many-sided beneficial requirement that is overly neglected in TVET institutions. The study adopted survey research design. Questionnaires were used to seek opinions of TVET technical college teachers and lecturers in tertiary TVET institutions on functional TVET school production units/consultancy services and the challenges hindering the establishment. The functional production units/consultancy services in TVET institutions in the study include poultry farms, fishery, clothing and textile, catering craft practices, data processing, among others. Contrarily, feed production, salesmanship, cosmetology, leather goods manufacturing and repair, GSM maintenance and repair were not functional at all in all the institutions surveyed. Challenges found to hinder school production/consultancy services of TVET institutions were: lack of organizational vision for productivity (3.39±0.63), poor perception of school production units/consultancy services (3.36±0.65), lack of manpower to drive the establishment (3.24±0.66) and perceived problems of integrating industries in TVET programmes (2.96±0.94). The study concludes therefore, that the benefits of school production units/consultancy services in TVET institutions are enormous, making it a fundamental requirement that should not be neglected. Thus, overcoming the challenges hindering the establishment of school production units/consultancy services will reflect in the quality of graduates turned out into the society and would eventually minimize to the barest minimum the need to retrain TVET graduates by employers.

Abstract: This study sought to determine the strategies to promote improved construction practices in building construction industry. A case study research design was adopted for the study. The study was carried out in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. The population for this study was 92, consisting of 54 general foremen and 38 site engineers in Nsukka. No sampling was done for this study since the total population of 92 subjects is of manageable size. Structured Questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. Data collected were analyzed using the mean and standard deviation for the research questions. Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient of 0.972 was obtained for the internal consistency of the instrument. Based on the data analyzed, the study identified strategies to promote improved construction practices in building construction industry. The study therefore recommended the following: The federal and state ministry of housing should enact laws which make it mandatory for contractors to embark on annual training, retraining and in-service training to learn advanced and improved practices in building technology. The identified strategies to promote improved construction practices in building construction industry should be included into the school curriculum of building construction of technical colleges and other higher institutions that teach building technology as a course of study. Inclusion of the identified strategies into the curriculum will benefit the students and graduates hence it will prepare and equip them with improved knowledge of construction practices in building technology.
